- 01: Where will Ignite be held?
- Ignite will be held in Wheaton College, Wheaton Illinois. The exact address is 501 College Avenue, Wheaton, Illinois.

- It is preferable that you make your own travel arrangements from your home to the campus by ground or air transportation.

- The regular registration, which closes on April 30th 2008, costs 100 USD. The late registration, which closes on June 10th 2008, costs 125 USD.

- The registration fee includes:
- Housing and all meals
- Entrance to all general sessions and workshops
- Transportation to and from Chicago

Go to top - 05: Why should I go?
- Ignite KMKC will be attended by hundreds of Korean Missionary Kids, there to gather and share their lives with one another. The conference will not only be a time and place for fellowship with fellow MKs but will also have engaging speakers in various workshops, tailored to the Korean MK’s needs, led by fellow MKs as well as world leaders.

- The main speaker will be Dr. Min J. Chung who is the founding and senior pastor of Covenant Fellowship Church. There will also be workshops for which you will be able to register on site, led by various speakers. Please visit here for a full list of speakers.

- There will Korean MKs from all over the world at Ignite KMKC. Just around the corner, there will be a conference for Korean Missionaries.

- There will be various workshop leaders leading a wide array of workshops. Please refer to the workshop list for further details.
Go to top - 09: What’s the small group about?
- With 500 MKs and 1000 missionaries at Wheaton that weekend, it’s easy to feel lost and alone. That’s why small groups will be such a crucial part of Ignite. In the midst of the hubbub, they will provide a smaller community for sharing and prayer. They are a great place to make new friends and process the many overwhelming aspects of the convention. It’s one thing to worship with 500 people of diverse backgrounds (yes we MKs all have diverse backgrounds!); it’s another thing entirely to share and pray daily with just eight of them.
Go to top - 10: Why is there a separate group for Quiet Time?
- Although there had been discussions about carrying out all activities in one structured small group, after a lot of prayer and deliberation, it was decided that in order to allow for you to meet as many other MKs from as diverse backgrounds as possible during the short period, it would be more suitable to provide two different groups to belong to. The QT group will consist of a smaller number of MKs of a similar age to you.
Go to top - 11: What should we bring to Ignite?
- We advise you to travel lightly and not bring many valuables. Although the dorm rooms are lockable, there will be no other place to keep your valuables and MK Korea will not be responsible for losses. Please pack basic toiletries, a few changes of clothes, and towels. These will not be available at the dorms. (We need to check whether there is a campus store that will sell these things during the summer holidays.) Also be sure to bring a bible and basic writing equipment.
As all food and accommodation will be provided, you do not need to bring any extra money for the duration of the conference. However, if you are going on the MK Missions, you may want some pocket money. We advise you to bring no more than $200.
Go to top - 12: Where will we be sleeping?
- You will be assigned to share dorm rooms with three to four other MKs of the same gender
Go to top - 13: Can I choose who to share with?
- No. You will be assigned roommates and dorm rooms. We strongly urge you to please sleep in your allocated dorm rooms for security reasons.
Go to top - Married couples may request to be housed together at the convention, however, we have limited rooms available and need to utilize all rooms to its maximum capacity. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that married couples will be able to room together. We apologize for any inconveniences and ask that you pack your bags accordingly.

- Yes.
Go to top - 16: Can we do partial attendance? Is there a discount?
- Although partial attendance is allowed, we strongly encourage you to participate for the entire conference. There will be no discount.
Go to top - 17: How can I cancel registration?
- Send an email to ignite@mkkorea.org with your name and registration number. There will be no refunds and registration substitutions or transfers are not permitted.

- We are praying for 500 MKs but precise numbers are still to be confirmed.
Go to top - 19: What language will the Ignite be in?
- Although we aim for the entire conference to be a completely bilingual, due to the location and various other factors, there may be a slight bias towards English. The main speaker will be speaking in English, with Korean interpretation. Other activities such as workshops and small groups will be available in both languages.

- Yes may register on the 26th of July as a walk in but we strongly urge you to register before so that we can plan your accommodations ahead of time.

- The application deadline is June 10th. Please note that there will be no exceptions to this rule.

- At this time, MK Korea is able to give only limited financial assistance. If you require further information or questions, please contact ignite@mkkorea.org.

- We are aware the difficulty of air travel. however, we will not be able to accommodate or provide transportation for you unless you arrive and leave on the allocated days.

- At this time, we are not accepting staff members but we always welcome people to get involved through prayer. If you would like to be a Warrior of Prayer, please contact ignite@mkkorea.org.
Go to top - 25: Who operates the Ignite KMKC?
- Ignite Korean Missionary Kids Conference is being supported by (Korea World Mission Conference) KWMC and World Korean Missionary Fellowship (WKMF), the organizations that are hosting the Korean World Mission Conference 2008 ( http://www.kwmc.com/) at the same time and place. However, Ignite KMKC will be operated by MK Korea ( http://www.mkkorea.org) and is being led by a leadership team, headed by Ms. Grace Kang ( kang.grace@gmail.com). For more information about any of these organizations, please contact ignite@mkkorea.org.
Go to top - 26: What's MK Korea?
- MK Korea is an interdenominational gathering formed by Missionary Kids for Missionary Kids. It was made by MKs who came to Korea for their university studies, military service, and various other callings. Networks currently exist in Korea, United States, and France for worship, fellowship, and other ministries.
The mission of MK Korea is to make a network where MKs can belong, develop each other's potentials, grow and work together. The vision of MK Korea is to see all MKs of Korean origin living lives of influence as Diasporas, with wholesome identities as Koreans, Internationals, and Christians.

- Unfortunately, there will be no MK missions this year. But rather, there will be a second generation missions conference directly following the Ignite conference. We highly recommend MK's to attend this conference. To find out more please go to www.kwmc.com
Go to top - 28: Why is it called IGNITE?
- We chose IGNITE to represent our thoughts and prayers for the conference. Ignite means to set on fire; to take fire. Our prayer for the conference is that we will be on fire once again for God's purpose and calling in our lives as Korean missionary kids. We want to be revived! Ignite is a word used when something is about to begin. This year will allow us to network with each other, share our lives together, and vision the future together to draw a picture for our future ministry, as well as pave a godly path for our younger brothers and sisters.

Go to top- 31: Am I allowed to leave the campus at any given time?
- No. It is necessary that you remain on campus at all times for health and safety reasons. Please note that there is a clause on the application form that prohibits all attendees from leaving the campus. If you have an emergency at any time and need to leave campus for any reason, please inform your small group leader when you will be going where for what reason, and most importantly, what time you will be return, and wait for confirmation before taking any further action.
Go to top - 32: I'm not Korean, but can I come?
- Although we may be opening future conferences to all MKs, we are currently only accepting 18+, MKs that are Korean. We politely ask that you refrain from registering if you do not meet the criteria.

- Yes.
Go to top - 34: Will you provide transportation to and from the airport?
- We will be providing transportation to and from the airport, bus and train terminals at regular intervals. Nevertheless, please send us your travel itinerary ASAP. Please note that if you do not arrive or leave on the scheduled dates, we will not be able to provide transportation.

- We are currently accepting all Korean MKs that are either high school graduates or over 18.

- Yes.
Go to top - 37: Do I have to provide any documentation of being an MK?
- We have an honesty policy and believe that anyone that registers is a Korean MK.
Go to top - 38: What is the visa process? Can you provide me any assistance in that area?
- We can provide you with a letter of invitation to the conference, from KWMC, at your request. We will only send it to you at your request so please contact us if you require a letter of invitation. For more information on the visa process, please refer to http://seoul.usembassy.gov/non-immigrant_visas.html If you are of a different nationality and require visa, please contact us directly (ignite@mkkorea.org).
Go to top - 39: Can I bring a computer?
- We will advise you not to bring a computer or highly valued personal belongings. Please be informed that we will not be responsible for the loss of any personal belongings.
Go to top - 40: Can parents participate? To what extent?
- Parents are encouraged to attend the Korean World Missionary Conference (please contact KWMC for further information) but we invite all missionary parents to pray for the conference. If you would like to receive a prayer newsletter, please contact Sarang Kang ( ignite@mkkorea.org).
Go to top - 41: Will I have time to visit the city?
- As we have mentioned above, you will not be permitted to leave the campus during the conference. However, you may want to arrive earlier and spend a few days in Chicago. If this is the case, please note that we will not provide accommodation. To make use of our free transportation service, please make your way to the allocated terminals on July 25th.
Go to top - 42: What if there are accidents or urgent problems?
- In case of an emergency, a member of staff will travel with you to the nearest hospital and stay with you the entire duration. However, please note that there is no insurance coverage for the conference. If you have insurance, we strongly advise you to bring your insurance card and two copies of your policy and submit one during registration.

- 한 인 선교사 자녀 Conference인 Ignite에 수백명의 한국 선교사 자녀들이 참석하여 서로의 삶을 나눌 수 있는 시간이 될 것입니다. 다른 선교사 자녀들과 교제만 하는 것이 아니라 한국 선교사 자녀들의 필요에 맞게 다른 선교사 자녀들과 세계 지도자들이 이끄는 워크샵 시간도 갖을 예정입니다.

- 500 명의 선교사 자녀들과 1000명의 선교사님들이 주말 동안 Wheaton에 머물 예정입니다. 이 와중에 혼란 또는 외로움을 느낄 수 있기 때문에 소그룹이 중요합니다. 어수선함 가운데 나남과 기도를 할 수 있는 작은 공동체를 제공할 것이고 새로운 친구들과 Ignite에서 배운 많은 내용들을 소화 시킬 수 있는 곳이 될 것입니다. 500명의 각기 다른 배경을 갖고 있는 선교사 자녀들과 예배를 드리는 와중에 8명의 소그룹과 매일 나누고 기도할 수 있는 시간은 또다른 경험일 것입니다.
Go to top - 10: QT를 할 때는 왜 다른 그룹과 모이나요?
- 많은 기도와 생각 끝에 한정된 시간 내에 여러 선교사 자녀들을 만날 수 있는 기회를 제공하기 위해 여러분을 2개의 그룹에 소속되게 할 예정입니다. QT 그룹은 더 작은 그룹으로 비슷한 나이대에 선교사 자녀들로 구성될 것입니다.
Go to top - 11: Ignite에 올 때 무엇을 지참해야 하나요?
- 가볍게 오시고 귀중품은 안 갖고 오시는 것을 추천합니다. 기숙사 방들을 잠글 수 있지만 귀중품을 보관할 수 있는 특별한 장소는 제공 되지 않을 것이며 분실되는 귀중품에 대해서는 MK Korea가 책임을 지지 않을 것입니다. 기본적인 세면도구와 옷, 수건은 방에 별도로 제공되지 않는 관계로 지참하시고 필기도구와 성경책은 꼭 준비해 오시길 바랍니다.
모든 식사와 숙소는 제공될 예정이므로 별도의 돈을 갖고 오실 필요은 없습니다. 하지만 MK Missions에 참가하실 분들은 $200이 넘지 않게 용돈을 준비하시는 것을 추천합니다.

- 결혼한 분들은 아마 같은 곳에서 묶는 것을 요구하겠지요. 하지만 사용가능한 방이 한정된 관계로 우리는 그 공간을 최대한 효율적으로 사용해야 합니다. 그래서 결혼한 커플이 한방을 쓸 수 있을지 약속드릴 수는 없어요. 불편을 드려 대단히 죄송합니다.

- 컨퍼런스 기간 동안 철저한 이중언어를 사용하는 것을 목표하였습니다. 하지만 위치를 비롯한 여러 다른 원인들 때문에 약간은 영어 쪽으로 편중될 것 같습니다. 주 강사가 영어를 사용하는 경우는 한국어로 통역이 될 것입니다. 워크샵을 비롯한 소그룹 활동에서는 두 언어 모두 사용 가능합니다.

- 항공편의 어려움을 저희도 잘 알고 있습니다. 하지만 지정된 기간 이외의 날짜에 관하여서는 저희 쪽에서 숙박 혹은 교통편을 제공해 드릴 수 없습니다.

- MK Korea는 대학입학, 군 복무 등의 이유로 한국으로 재입국하기 시작한 청년 선교사자녀 (이하 MK)들에 의해 시작됐습니다. MK들을 위해, MK들에 의하여 시작된 MK Korea는 초교파적인 모임으로 현재 한국, 미국, 프랑스에서 예배, 교재, 섬김 등의 형태로 지역모임이 이뤄지고 있습니다. 한인 MK들이 소속감을 가지고 서로의 잠재력을 개발시키고 성장하며 동역하는 네트워크 형성을 사명으로 하는 MK Korea는 장차 모든 한인 MK들이 한국인, 국제인, 신앙인으로서의 건강한 정체성을 가지고 영향력 있는 디아스포라로서의
삶을 사는 것을 보기 원합니다.

Go to top - 28: 왜 IGNITE라고 이름 짓게 됐나요?
- Ignite는 ‘불 지르다’ ‘점화하다’ 를 뜻합니다. 우리는 기도합니다. 이번 컨퍼런스를 통해 우리가 한국인 MK들로서 삶 속에 계신 하나님의 목적과 부르심에 다시 한번 불 타 오르기를, 즉 부활하길 원합니다. Ignite는 어떤 일이 시작되려고 할 때 쓰는 단어입니다. 이번 해는 우리가 서로 연합하고, 삶을 나누며, 다음 사역에 대한 청사진을 함께 공유하는 시간이 됨과 더불어 다음세대의 형제 자매들을 위해 거룩한 길을 닦는 시간이 될 것입니다. 저희는 이것을 표현하기 위해 IGNITE라는 이름을 짓게 되었습니다.

MK들은 다른 MK, 특별히 더 젊은(어린?)MK들을 섬길 수 있는 마음을 계발할 것입니다.
매년 계속될 Ignite를 통해 우리는 우리의 마음이 변화됨을 느낄 수 있을 것입니다.
그리고 주님을 더욱 알게 될 것입니다.목표:
MK들이 선교사로 자신의 삶을 헌신하는 것
교회와 선교단체들이 MK들에게 투자하고 MK들의 중요성을 발견하는 것
MK Korea를 세계 전역에 알리는 것
Go to top- 31: 주어진 시간에 캠퍼스에서 나가도 괜찮을까요?
- 건강과 보안문제로 컨퍼런스 기간 내에는 캠퍼스 안에 있어야 함을 말씀드립니다. 신청서 안에 캠퍼스 이탈 금지 조항이 명시되어 있음을 주의해 주세요. 혹시 위급한 문제로 인해 캠퍼스 밖으로 나가야 하는 상황이 발생했을 땐 소그룹 리더에게 나가야 하는 이유와 가는 장소, 나가는 시간과 돌아올 시간을 알려주시길 바랍니다. 그리고 반드시 확인이 될 때 까지 기다려 주시길 바랍니다.
Go to top - 32: 한국인이 아니어도 참가 할 수 있나요?
- 앞으로 모든 MK들에게 참여의 기회를 드릴 계획이지만 현재로선 18세 이상의 한국인 MK
만 참여가 가능합니다. 기준에 해당하지 않는 분은 접수를 삼가주시길 공손히 부탁드립니다.

- 네.
Go to top - 34: 공항에서부터 교통편이 제공되나요?
- 공항과 버스, 기차 터미널에서부터 교통편이 일정 간격을 두고 제공됩니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 저희에게 여행 여행계획서를 가능한 한 빨리 보내주세요. 그리고 주의하세요. 지정된 날짜에 도착이나 출발하지 않는 경우 교통편이 제공되지 않습니다.

- 현재 고등학교 졸업자 혹은 18세 이상의 한국인 MK들만 참여 가능합니다.

- 필요하신 분께 저희가 KWMC로부터 초청장을 보내드릴 수 있습니다. 요청하신 분에 한하여 초청장을 보내드릴 계획이오니 필요하신 분은 반드시 연락해 주시기 바랍니다. 비자에 관해 더 자세한 정보를 원하시는 분은http://seoul.usembassy.gov/non-immigrant_visas.html 를 참고해 주세요. 또한 다른 국적을 소유하고 계신 분은 직접 저희에게 연락해 주시길 바랍니다. (ignite@mkkorea.org).

- 컴퓨터나 고가 제품 등을 가지고 오지 않는 것을 권합니다. 개인 소지품의 도난에 관해서는 저희가 책임지지 않음을 알려드립니다.

- 부모님들은 세계 선교대회에 참석하실 것을 권합니다.(더 많은 정보는 KWMC에 연락해주시길 바랍니다)하지만 모든 선교사님들께 기도로 동역해 주시기를 부탁드립니다. 기도편지를 받고자 하시는 분은 Sarang Kang( ignite@mkkorea.org)에게 연락해 주세요.
Go to top - 41: 도시를 방문할 시간이 있나요?
- 위에서 말씀 드렸듯이 컨퍼런스 기간 내에는 캠퍼스에서 나가시는 것이 허락되지 않습니다. 하지만 먼저 도착해서 시카고에서 며칠 동안 하고 싶은 분들이 있으실 것입니다. 이 경우에 관해서는 저희가 숙박을 제공해 드릴 수 없음을 말씀드립니다. 무료 교통편을 이용하실 분은 7월25일에 지정된 터미널로 오시길 바랍니다.
Go to top - 42: 사고나 위급한 문제가 발생하는 경우엔 어떻게 되나요?
- 비상사태의 경우, 스태프들이 여러분을 가장 가까운 병원으로 후송해서 함께 있을 것입니다. 하지만 컨퍼런스가 보험에 가입되어 있는 것이 아님을 알려드립니다. 따라서 가입된 보험이 있으신 분들은 보험카드와 보험증 사본2장을 준비해서 접수 하실 때 제출해 주시길 강력히 권합니다.
